Duane Wells Construction, Inc. is a mid-size residential and light commercial construction company located in Montpelier, VT. In business since 1980, we have the knowledge, experience and commitment to quality workmanship needed to make your residential or light commercial projects a success.
With memberships in the Associated General Contactors of VT, Central Vermont Chamber of Commerce and the Montpelier Downtown Community Association, we are fully insured and available for renovations, restorations, additions and new construction at your home or business. Duane Wells Construction, Inc. has its own design service and can accommodate clients with fast, basic designs and cost estimates. We specialize in renovations and restorations of existing structures. We use all local material suppliers and expert subcontractors. Our employees have a reputation for being polite, hard working, and highly skilled. We also have an in house excavator and dump truck with an experienced and knowledgeable operator available for foundation work and other excavation and trucking needs. We have extensive experience in jacking existing structures and installing foundations below. With our in house excavator and dump truck available, we are able to do our own site work along with the rest of the construction project. We have done numerous bathroom and kitchen renovations, including everything from replacing cabinets to a complete reconfiguration of the space to meet the customer’s needs. Many of the garages, barns and additions we have done have been built to match existing buildings, or have been unique designs that require keen attention to detail and adaptation to unusual configurations. We take a great deal of pride in our ability to blend old designs and character with modern needs and products. Matching our clients’ needs with the style, setting and mechanics that modern living requires is a real point of focus for us. That’s why many of our customers are those who we have enjoyed working with on previous home or business projects. We make every effort to work locally. Ninety-five percent of our work is within 30 minutes of Montpelier. In order to stay local, we contract to do all size jobs including decks, patios, window replacement, roofing, siding, interior and exterior painting, sheetrocking and other general construction repairs.
